Why does the ballerina sit by the pond instead of the stage?
Why has she stopped her practice and cast her line into the water?
We do not know the reason.

Perhaps she has stepped away from the stage and the applause,
seeking a moment of her own silence.
Or perhaps, weary in body and spirit from endless rehearsals,
she waits for another kind of answer to rise from the water.

This unfamiliar scene poses a question to us:
What are you laying down, and what are you waiting for?

「なぜバレリーナは舞台ではなく、池のほとりに座っているのか。
なぜ練習をやめて釣り糸を垂れているのか。
私たちはその理由を知らない。

もしかすると彼女は舞台と喝采から一歩離れ、
自分だけの静けさを探しているのかもしれない。
あるいは、絶え間ない練習で疲れ果てた心と体を癒し、
水の中から別の答えを待っているのかもしれない。

この見慣れぬ光景は私たちに問いかける。
『あなたはいま、何を手放し、何を待っているのか』」
